Addy's 2nd birthday!!

We went to the park today for just a little bit to get some of the ya-yas out. We had the place pretty much to ourselves, which was pretty cool!

My apologies to Adam, as I've been meaning to post a picture of this forever, but for some reason, could never get it done.

Addy loves clicking fasteners. When she first learned how, she spent an hour in her high chair putting her little 3 point harness together (and then waiting for someone to un-do it for her so that she could do it again). So, Adam made her a toy with a bunch of different fasteners - just to play with. It's a very cool toy!! Here she is intently fastening away!

For those of you that know Addy personally, you know that she will not go to sleep if there is something interesting around her. At Disney World, she missed naps and slept fewer hours at night than normal too... she did that all week long. She will fight, fight, fight sleep. So, since she's been in her toddler bed, she's missed a couple naps lately because her room is just more exciting than sleep. Her bedtimes have gotten a little later for the same reason. So, she's been tired. But not so much so that she won't miss her next opportunity to sleep.

But the other day, it finally got her and she had to give in... right in the middle of Fred Meyer... in the middle of the morning. It doesn't look very comfortable, but I guess it was comfortable enough. She slept all the way home and for another hour after that.

And, I'm glad to say that since then, she really does seem to be settling down in her room a little more. Maybe it's just not as exciting as it once was!

Counting Addy - she can count to 10... just not when the camera is on! Ha! And if I can be an annoying 'listen-to-what-our-kid-can-do' proud Mom here - she knows all her capital letters by sight, knows her colors, and knows her numbers by sight too.
